Basically we run moderate miles during the week with a long run on the weekends. Daily runs can be anywhere from 2 - 7 miles.
Since October of 2000 we?ve been crosstraining with the United States Navy BUD/S workout program three time a week. This program is designed to prepare young men for Navy SEAL training. This program is very simple pushups, situps, pullups and dips. I starts out fairly easily but by the end you're doing 400 pushups and 500 situps.

A tough treadmill (aka dreadmill) workout to build hill walking strenght. (I hope!)
